About Kerry Ellis

A Musical Theatre Legend & Solo Artist

Kerry Ellis has firmly established herself as one of musical theatre’s most premier leading ladies. She made her landmark West End debut as the understudy to Martine McCutcheon in My Fair Lady before being cast by Queen’s Brian May as the original Meat in the world premiere of We Will Rock You at the Dominion Theatre.

She subsequently became the first British actress to play Elphaba in the West End production of Wicked, a role she later took across the Atlantic to Broadway’s Gershwin Theatre, earning international critical acclaim and a WhatsOnStage Award for Best Actress in a Musical.

Beyond the theatrical stage, Kerry has cultivated a celebrated recording and touring career, performing as a solo artist at iconic venues including the Royal Albert Hall and collaborating extensively with rock guitarist Brian May on albums such as Anthems and Golden Days.

"Kerry Ellis is quite simply one of the greatest vocalists of her generation. Her power, range, and interpretative depth light up every stage she steps onto." — London Theatre Review
"Working with Kerry has been one of the great joys of my career. Her voice is an absolute marvel." — Sir Brian May, Queen
